When Philip of Macedon wrote to the Spartan magistrates, "If I enter Laconia, I will level Lacedaemon to the ground", the magistrates wrote back a single two-letter word: "If."

A Spartan was called a Lacon from Laconia, the land in which he lived. The Spartans were noted for their brusque, concise and sententious speech.
Thus "laconic" means saying much in few words.

A meaningful 6-word-story is not an easy task. But, you did it. Well done, William!
