This photo is amazing.

I stayed there, looking at her before and after reading the poem.

It is such a vivid moment; calmly dynamic and dynamically calm!

It's like she is looking at death coming, with both of her natures/qualities present; human and divine.

Accepting fearlessly, because she has seen much more than the easily digestible conclusions people usually draw.

Merwin was such a tender entity and courageous voice at the same time. I love "For the anniversary of my death". ;-)
