The whole mentality of the way the police and a huge percentage of the society deal with rape, is as if the man isn't capable of choosing his actions. It's like an external factor (the woman) is responsible for the man's behaviour.

Of course the woman (or whoever is raped) is not responsible. It's you that you have no self-control, and nobody taught you how important boundaries are!

Also... enough with those skirts!

That question at the police station!

Or, why did you go out so late!

Are we serious?!

It's not the short skirt that pushes the raper; it's his instincts and the fact that he cannot control them.

You definitely had an experience that leaves marks, and it's really hard to deal with it. I hope you had--and have--a strong support system.
