Traumas that clip and fit;
that’s what relationships often are.
Consequences of bad experiences;
a scar that couples with a scar.

His childhood’s backwash made him feel
valuable only when a woman
had him as priority number one;
I’m second best, first comes my man.

The echo of her early years
made her feel worthy
only when a man’s behavior shouted:
I come first, I need thee.

Relationships like this
may …live happily ever after.
The clouds appear only when
the one’s healing process runs faster.

She was healed enough to see
the unhealthy pattern’s “mother”.
Taking care is one thing,
sacrificing your whole self’s another.

The unsynchronized evolution
kept him stuck with his old need.
You have to live for me all day long;
breathe for me and overfeed
