I understand. I agree.
It’s painful because we think that this way we lose the other person; that this way, love isn’t here/doesn’t exist anymore. And — as painful as it is for us to realize this — this is also ego-centric. And ego-centrism comes from lack of self-love. Because self-love is simultaneously pure love for others, too. But we have a long way until then(or it could be just around the corner for many people), if this is to be done for feeling love present all the time.
