The Desire Mechanism

Where is the freedom of the mind?

With desire after desire
these minds become so tired…
After accomplishing what was wanted,
something new is produced to be desired.

So, these beings are self-enslaved
in a glass snowball of memory and sensation
with minds working as desire producers,
cyclically experiencing joy and frustration.

Every “mission” that’s accomplished
ends up in futility’s site,
so they search for the next person, thing, …,
following an insatiable appetite.

The snowball is diaphanous
so, they can stand outside of it
to observe the desire mechanism
and — possibly — be released from it.

If you swim in Instagram’s ocean, you’ll find me somewhere here, on a raft like the one Odysseus had.
