And the "funny" thing is that they are not chosen by god! Ha ha!

I get your point. There are examples like this in all the fields of life, of course. Because wherever people gather, a miniature of the society is created. It includes the good, the bad, and everything between them.

The system is really talented in coverups. They have practised the method for so long!

I believe that respect is something that is earned. It's not a given, just because someone is older or parent or a so-called representative of god.

As for the doctrine, you open a huge topic; not only when it comes to how its content is interpreted, but also how the word itself is interpreted. I think that unconsciously/automatically we tend to think that doctrine as a word, as a meaning is something we have to believe in, because it describes The Truth. But, ...

In Greek, the word dogma/δόγμα comes from a verb that means "to think, consider, imagine, suppose, assume, decide, seem". It is something subjective. It's more of "in my opinion" than something that is a fact! So, yes, I can choose this or that doctrine, but what the doctrine says isn't necessarily the truth, or reality. It is "my" truth.

The idea of Christianity is something different from most of its representatives and believers. They are not identical as concepts. Christianity as manifested on the physical field is its people, but the idea of Christianity is not! In my opinion, of course.
